The Zombie Diaries: Prelogue

When Callista and her beau, Alaric came to Sunset Valley by way of Bridgeport, they soon became the talk to the town.  If being an eccentric millionaire from a big city wasn't enough to cause folks to talk, their obsession with the zombie apocalypse sure did help fan the flames of gossip.  Callista wasn't shy about the compound she was building on the outskirts of town either.  She spoke ominously about a soon coming apocalypse which would change the world as we know it.  They tired to warn the families of Sunset Valley that the end was near.  Unfortunately, they ignored their claims chalking it up to having more money than they had sense.

That all changed when a strange sim drifted into town.  Suddenly town folks started reporting attacks by undead sims.  Chaos ensued as the body count rose and the dead returned to life.  Callista and Alaric knew that the moment of reckoning had come and they had to seal themselves into the compound.  But before the door was sealed for the last time a neighboring family with a small daughter begged for safety.  After careful inspection they were granted access into the compound.  Now they are forced to adjust to one another in close quarters while fighting for survival. This is their story.

My name is Callista Flemming and  I am 23 years old.  My parents were the very wealthy and dotting Cassia and Urban Flemming of the Bridgeport Flemmings.  Growing up I lived in the Upper East Side of Bridgeport.  I had a childhood most children would dream of except for loneliness of being an only child. But the adoration my parents had for me made up for any sibling companionship I missed out on.

Being from a rich and powerful family makes you know a lot of powerful people. And knowing powerful people makes you privileged to alot of private information. That's how I came to know about the zombie virus that was being developed for biological warfare. I became obsessed with the possibility of an outbreak within my life time.  I read book after book and saw movie after movie trying to prepare myself.

It made it difficult for me and my parents growing up. I was consider Crazy Callista in the Bridgeport community and the root of many nasty jokes and rumors.
When my parents died I suffered a great loss.  I suddenly felt foreign in my own town.  They were the only people in Bridgeport that never judged me. What would any 20 year old with no where to go with a large fortune do?  I decided to pack up and leave Bridgeport in search of the prefect location to wait out the apocalypse.
Being from a big city I was drawn to other big cities; I just love the hustle and bustle. But, after awhile they would only make me home sick for Bridgeport and my parents.  I would drift from city to city until a chance encounter in downtown Simcago when I was 21. Enter Alaric Chambers.

I had tried and failed to get into a very high end night club.  Being rich and being a celebrity are too very different things and they turned me down before I could even get my big toe beyond the velvet rope.  I was trying to hail a cab when a handsome man approached me.  Apparently we both had rotten luck trying to get in.
"You know, if I were them, I would have definitely let us in."  He said heartily.
"Would you?"  I asked him coyly.
"Yes.  I most certainly would let us in.  Alaric Chambers, nice to meet you."  He said charmingly.
After introductions we came to the mutual agreement that we would have more fun dancing in the parking lot than we would have ever had in the club.

He was very quick on his feet to my surprise and before I knew it we danced until the sun was coming up.  That's how I met and fell madly in love with my fiance, Alaric.
We were the prefect match. He shared my obsession about the apocalypse, so we banned together going from city to city looking for the one.

We soon figured out that we had to get out of the big cities, too many Sims. For a year and a half we rolled threw countrysides, but found most lacked certain necessities like having local hospitals and military bases. Suburbia sounded like the answer and after six months of searching we found the prefect place to build our compound and raise a family to help ensure the survival of Simkind.

Alaric and I are chronicling our story in case we, or our ancestors never get the chance to tell it first hand.  I hope if anyone finds this diary your family and love ones made it threw the aftermath.
  With all my hope,

Welcome to my blog!!

Hello, everyone!  Welcome to my Sims 3 challenges blog.  I set up this blog to share my simming adventures in story form.  Sometime I get bored with my sims so I thought I would try something new.  I hope to make alot of friends in the simming community. I love hand crafting sims and seeing them live their lifes, but some times open ended game play can get a bit boring.  Sim challenges seem to be the answer for my boredom.
As I do different challenges, I will give the story a name and break it down into chapters for better story telling.  I'll have a section on my blog with the story name and a link to challenge from which is it based.

Please bare with me while I get my blog off the ground.  It's still very much under construction.
